Yoshihiro Togashi Wants To Finish Hunter x Hunter

Hunter X Hunter mangaka Yoshihiro Togashi wants to finish his manga Hunter X Hunter

Hunter X Hunter mangaka Yoshihiro Togashi is known for taking a lot of breaks resulting in putting his own manga on hiatus, but today we received news that Yoshihiro Togashi wants to complete Hunter X Hunter he specifically said

“he plans to finish or die in the process”.  In a recent Weekly Jump interview, translated by Redditor VeraciousCake, Togashi discussed finishing Hunter x Hunter.

“I need to finish writing Hunter x Hunter,” Togashi said (via VeraciousCake). “It has come to a point where either the story concludes first, or I die before that happens (lol). But I do intend to finish it.”

Yoshihiro Togashi stated that the story arcs and plot finished once when Gon met Ging, and some readers probably thought that this was supposed to be how it all came together. He agreed that he wrote it that way but actually did not plan to bring it to a close at that point. He hopes that readers can still that the story still has room to grow.

Since he’s also a manga reader, he knows the feeling of thinking a manga should have already ended as well as being unhappy when it dragged on. According to Yoshihiro Togashi, he never wants to forget that feeling as a manga reader.

“Hunter x Hunter as it is now has a lot in it that makes me want to keep on reading, even from my own perspective as a reader,” he said (via VeraciousCake). “And from my perspective as a writer, there are still many things in it left that I want to write, that I would enjoy writing. And so if anyone would be willing to enjoy this ride with me, that is all I can hope for.”

Check out the the full interview right here.

Darling in the FranXX sells 400,000 copies in just 2 volumes

The hit 2018 mecha anime that is being compared to Neon Genesis Evangelion is slowly taking over the world. In the distant future, humanity has been driven to near-extinction by giant beasts known as Klaxosaurs, forcing the surviving humans to take refuge in massive fortress cities called Plantations. Children raised here are trained to pilot giant mechas known as FranXX—the only weapons known to be effective against the Klaxosaurs—in boy-girl pairs. Bred for the sole purpose of piloting these machines, these children know nothing of the outside world and are only able to prove their existence by defending their race.

Hiro, an aspiring FranXX pilot, has lost his motivation and self-confidence after failing an aptitude test. Skipping out on his class’ graduation ceremony, Hiro retreats to a forest lake, where he encounters a mysterious girl with two horns growing out of her head. She introduces herself by her codename Zero Two, which is known to belong to an infamous FranXX pilot known as the “Partner Killer.” Before Hiro can digest the encounter, the Plantation is rocked by a sudden Klaxosaur attack. Zero Two engages the creature in her FranXX, but it is heavily damaged in the skirmish and crashes near Hiro. Finding her partner dead, Zero Two invites Hiro to pilot the mecha with her, and the duo easily defeats the Klaxosaur in the ensuing fight. With a new partner by his side, Hiro has been given a chance at redemption for his past failures, but at what cost.

It has been recently reported by the official English Darling in the FranXX Twitter that, the manga has sold 40,000 manga volumes worldwide, this is a amazing achievement for the manga publisher Shueisha.

Check out this cute rendition of Power Puff Girls in alternative anime inspired style fan art

What’s going on reader’s, I stumbled across this awesome post on Twitter and it took me by surprise, Craig McCracken the original creator of Power Puff Girls intended to make a unique animated series that targets the female younger demographic. Power Puff Girls. The Power Puff Girls are a trio of artificially made superhuman kindergartners created by Professor Utonium. They are the title characters of the Cartoon Network series of the same name, the 2016 reboot of the same name, and the anime Powerpuff Girls Z.

The members of this superhero trio include the following characters:

  1. Blossom (The Commander and the Leader in red)
  2. Bubbles (The Joy and the Laughter in blue)
  3. Buttercup (The Toughest Fighter in green)

Above this, anime version is anime inspired, and it introduces a unique comparison between cartoons and anime which is a very interesting debate, I enjoy both animated shows in America, Europe and East Asia and I am always excited to witness the future animators, writers and artists who could potentially be creating the next generation animated shows and they could be discovered on Twitter and WordPress.
