Sony reveals moden mini PlayStation Classic console

Sony Interactive Entertainment announces new and improved PlayStation 

 

 

Sony Interactive Entertainment, has recently an updated classic miniature version of the first PlayStation console, This console is a modern take on the classic retro gaming system. This version will include 20 retro video games such as the epic 3D fighting game Tekken 3, and the extrodinary Japanese Role-Playing Game, Final Fantasy VII and many more exciting games in the near future. The PlayStation Classic will be released on December 3rd, The day that the original PlayStation launched in 1994.

This new modern smaller version will be 45%  smaller than the first PlayStation gaming system, and as you can see in the video, it captures the look of the system is based on, including its controllers.

The mini version will come with 20 retro titles, including Final Fantasy VII and Tekken 3.

The PlayStation Classic is around half the size of the original and is due to launch on 3 December.

One expert said nostalgia was driving interest in retro consoles, which offer a means of making historical video games more accessible.

The console is the first of Sony’s video game machines to be given this kind of compact makeover. Nintendo has previously made mini versions of its NES and SNES consoles, which also included a set of pre-loaded classic games.

Among other titles to be featured on Sony’s new system are Ridge Racer Type 4, the role-playing game Wild Arms and first-person platformer Jumping Flash.

The device will retail for £89.99. As well as the mini console, a HDMI cable for connecting to a TV and two wired controllers will be included.

The design of the console is faithful to the original – even featuring a disk eject button, despite the lack of an actual disk reader. Instead, pressing the button will swap the game being played for another.

The release date will mark exactly 24 years since the launch of the first PlayStation, which went on sale in Japan on 3 December 1994. It was launched in the UK the following September.

 

Sony Interactive Entertainment, re-introducing the PlayStation to the global market is a game changer, in this modern technological world we are living in, gaming has truly become revolutionary with the use of social media integration, Interactive live streaming services such as Twitch,we are seventh generation, PS VR, Nintendo Switch. This retro smaller version can be compared with the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and SEGA Genesis.
