Nintendo game designer Shigeru Miyamoto explains why he feels gamers are not right for the workplace
In an interview with Business Insider UK Shigeru Miyamoto the lead Nintendo Japanese video game designer and game producer best known for creating the Super Mario franchise and The Legend of Zelda and many other Nintendo IP’s expressed his views on why he prefers not to employ game fanatics to work for Nintendo.
He explains that Nintendo is aiming to create the next generation of employees consisting of game designers, game developers, game producers and many other types of employees in the gaming industry at Nintendo. Shigeru Miyamoto prefers to hire non-gamers he said he looks for candidates with other skills and interests. He explains how gamers always want to perfect what already exists while Nintendo is all about experimentation and expressing your creativity and finding new ways to have fun, Shigeru Miyamoto explained.
