See how Daisy Ridley pushed herself as never before in training for Star Wars: The Last Jedi

With the sudden release of amazing trailers and behind the scenes footage and new social media promotions of the latest episode of Star Wars. Star Wars: The Last Jedi, I believe this addition to the film will serve as an origin story for Rey (portrayed by British actress Daisy Ridley

Daisy Ridley is a great actress, she put in a lot of physical and mental work in order to portray Rey who was originally a human female scavenger and Force prodigy who discovered a latent Force-sensitivity, while on a journey to discover the legendary Jedi Master Luke Sky Walker and bring a new hope to a galaxy on the brink of an intergalactic war. As a no mad Rey grew up on the desert planet Jakku. Check out the video above of her awesome routine with the bo-staff.

As a new legacy character, that is apart of a legacy series. Daisy Ridley: said “Physically, I never had to push myself that hard….and stamina wise you’re like…Oh My God… it’s like some psychological thing of knowing you can do it more and more and more.”

The writer and director Rian Johnson additionally stated: “Daisy is training for a moment where she is on the Islands, and she has a moment to herself where she practising with the staff, and then she realise why I’m I wasting my time with the staff when she has, Luke Sky Walker’s lightsaber in her bag (located around her waist on her back) it’s just working out the moves for that.”

Liang Yang the stunt co-coordinator also added: “I was planning on teaching her the whole routine in three days but she surprisingly learned everything in an hour and a half”.

Which is very impressive, Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be in cinema’s on the 15th of December.
