Ever since Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon announced that season 3 of their critically acclaimed cartoon Rick and Morty for Adult Swim would be returning to our screens, many of us were excited and was given the opportunity on April 1st, 2017 to see the first episode. The first episode of season 3 was Rick using his elaborate plans to escape prison.
The one scene that stood out to many fans was the ending. Rick successfully escaped prison, watch the episode too find out how but he exaggerates his affinity for Szechuan sauce. Szechan sauce was a limited dipping sauced promoted by the fast-food chain McDonald’s.
Szechuan Sauce is a former Chicken McNuggets condiment.
On June 19th, 1998, The Walt Disney Company released their animated feature film Mulan, the story of a brave daughter who posed as a man and enrolled into the Chinese military to take her wounded father’s place in the fight against the Hun invasion.
To coincide with the upcoming Disney film, McDonald’s released a new limited-time condiment, Szechuan teriyaki dipping sauce. It was created to mimic traditional Chinese Szechuan Sauce, and it came complete with Happy Meal Chicken McNuggets and one out of a set of eight Mulan toys. After the promotion, the sauce was removed from all McDonald’s restaurants.
I believe that this was a marketing campaign between Adult Swim and the creators of the cartoon: Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. I bet the sauce is delicious since it is eaten with Teriyaki chicken, This advertising campaign was used to promote this sauce through McDonald’s like a publicity stunt. I don’t think this sauce is the main topic of this show but it is a hilarious gag nonetheless.

Americans are in for a treat, McDonald’s in the United States are bringing back this Szechuan sauce for a limited time only. The release date is not yet specified but they are advertising the dipping sauce below. this message.
Check out the delicious food mouth-watering

I don’t watch Rick and Morty but from online from the fandom, people really want that sauce. I am still angry about the show on that April Fools Prank they did to me when I wanted to watch Samurai Jack. Still, I am curious about this sauce and I didn’t think it was real.

Yeah man, you should try it out if you are into sci-fi and crazy plot twists. It can be sentimental and badass and teach life lessons too. Samurai Jack is a must very different from the classic old series and the sauce is driving people crazy I wish it came to UK McDonald’s too

Really? I didn’t expect that from this series. I thought it was a comedy series like Family Guy or Futuruma. Maybe with high demands, this sauce will spread.
