E3 2017 was another amazing year for the video games industry, the spokes people who work for Microsoft announced more 4K gaming announcements, Xbox One X a brand new Microsoft console which is literally ultra high-definition gaming a 60 Frames Per Second.

As a console gamer and more specifically a PlayStation gamer I want to experiment and try out loads of different video game consoles so this is exciting for me to write and hopefully you enjoy reading this.


  1. 1. Anthem

This game is currently being developed by Bioware  and published by Electronic Sports, this video game is a co-operation action role-playing game you play as Javelin and leave civilisation behind, check out the trailer below for more. This amazing IP has been described as a science fantasy game compare to Star Wars and Mass Effect. This game was announced at E3 2017 by Bioware Edmonton in Canada the studio who developed Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. 

Anthem looks amazing and could posisbly rival Horizon Zero Dawn on the PlayStation 4. Anthem features a vast open world for players to explore with amazing exo-suits the game pits players in the role of a Freelancer tasked with exploring unknown planets and protecting humanity. Players will be able to outfit your Freelancer with customisable exo-suits called Javelins, which can be equipped with a range of new gear you either craft or acquire.


Release Date: Q4 2018




2. Call of Duty: World War II

The critically acclaimed first person shooter/zombies shooter is back for a brand new rap. Sledgehammer Games and Activision are bringing Call of Duty back to its roots and it is working. Set in World War II this game tells the story of an unbreakable brotherhood of common men fighting to preserve freedom in a world on the brink of tryanny.

From the beaches of Normandy the Hürtgen Forest, experience a dramatic story highlighting some of the most dramatic and iconic moments of World War II as a young soldier, Ronald “Red” Daniels, who is facing the unforgiving reality of war alongside his brothers in arms.

3. Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite

The latest edition to the crossover Capcom and Marvel fighting game. This game is the sixth edition and I am expecting great things from this game despite the criticism and backlash this one has received I really enjoyed Marvel vs Capcom 3 it was so fun and was definitely catered to all kinds of video gamers.

My old team was Dante, Deadpool and off course Spider-Man I used to compete via the CPU it was badass seeing all the crazy combos on-screen and flashing lights. This edition is definitely different but I’m still optimistic it will be good.Black Panther is in this one, Ryu, Dante, Megaman, Chun Li, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Ultron and many more I’m hyped and I hope you are too.

4. Crackdown 3

Crackdown 3 is an upcoming action adventure open world video game currently being developed by Cloudgine, Ruffian Games, (British Developers) Reagent Games and Sumo Digital this game is going to be for Microsoft Windows (for PC gamers) and Xbox One.

The head and series creator David Jones is involved in this project and published by Microsoft Studios continuing the series for seven years after releasing Crackdown 2 in 2010 on Xbox 360. The third title will focus on Microsoft Azure a cloud computing service that enables everything to be destroyed.

Release Date: 2017 





5. Dragon Ball Fighter Z

Dragon Ball Fighter Z is an upcoming 2.5D fighting game developed by Arc system Works and published by Bandai Namco based on the Dragon Ball franchise for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows for PC gamers.

This game is going to be amazing it is currently being developed on the Unreal Engine 4 which is amazing the producer Tomoki Hiroki is iconic for doing this, the characters that will be involved are: Goku (Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 3), Teen Gohan (Super Saiyan 2), Vegeta (Super Vegeta), Future Trunks (Super Saiyan), Freiza (Final Form, Golden Frieza) and Majin Buu.

On June 11, 2017, the game was revealed at Microsoft’s E3 press conference with the confirmed title Dragon Ball Fighter Z A closed beta for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions was also confirmed. Bandai Namco said there is a possibility the game could come to the Nintendo Switch if enough fans request it.


Release Date: 2018 



6. Destiny 2

Destiny 2 is an upcoming online only multiplayer first person shooting video game currently in development by Bungie in association with Vicarious Visions and High Moon Studios.

This IP is going to be published by Activision too. This game has several science fiction themes you will be able to choose from a weapon load out and several species of aliens’ and humans. This amazing sequel will be released soon and will be on the following platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows for PC gamers. (This version will have subsequent expansions) 

Release Dates:  September 6th 2017 (PS4, XBOX ONE),

October 24th 2017 (Microsoft Windows)





7. Forza Motosport 7


Forza Motorsport 7 is an upcoming racing video game developed by Turn 10 Studios and published by Microsoft Studios The game is scheduled to launch on Windows and Xbox One in October 2017. It will serve as the tenth instalment in the Forza series. This edition of Forza will feature over 700 vehicles with more than 200 different configurations to race across 30 locations in countries such as Dubai, Japan and America and Dubai Autodrame. One of the new circuits one of the returning from the older Forza game, Forza 4 is Mugello Circuit.

This IP will include a dynamic weather system that changes during a race for example if a player is on a track let’s say it is not raining during the start of a race later on the track there will be rain, there will also be dynamic puddles which can grow or decrease in size. The last new features is that this game will have fully customisable characters the player of the game will be able to change the racing suit, the helmet, the design, and be able to add accessories. Turn 10 says there will be over 300 designs to choose from in the game.

8. Super Lucky’s Tale

Super Lucky’s Tale is going to be a very entertaining, this video game is a console exclusive this game will also be released on Windows 10 as an XBOX play anywhere title this game will also be available on XBOX ONE X at an enhanced level in 4K. The game features Lucky a fox is, that is on a quest to find his inner strength and help his beloved sister rescue the Book of Ages from Jinx, the scheming and mysterious villain. This quest seemed to involve double-jumping through cheerful environments collecting coins in a 90s throwback, Rare-platformer style, as is currently the all the rage – or was until Yooka-Laylee came out.

Release Date: 7th of November 2017




9. Tacoma

Tacoma is a single player video game develoepd Fullbring and published by Fullbring this IP is going to be released on the following platforms: Xbox One, Microsoft Windows for PC Gamers, Linux and MacOS which is very interesting indeed if I do say so myself. Tacoma is Fullbright’s second game, following their successful narrative game Gone Home. The company announced Tacoma at The Game Awards in December 2014.

The brief trailer featured a radio dialogue between a man and a woman, set in the Lunar Transfer Station Tacoma 200,000 miles from Earth. Polygon noted that its aesthetic was similar to Rapture, the underwater city of BioShock. The game was scheduled for release in 2016, but was delayed to Q1 2017, following feedback from playtesters in mid-2015, which led the developers to rethink parts of the game. 


Release Date: August the 2nd 2017





10. Metro Exodus

Metro Exodus is a upcoming first perosn shooter developed by Ukranian studio 4A Gamers and published by Deep Silver. This game is the third insallment in the Metro video game series based on  Dmitry Glukhovsky’s novels. It is set to follow the events of Metro: Last Light and Metro 2035.This video game looks exciting, it will be running on a 4A Engine which is spectacular this game will be single player on the following platforms: Xbox One, Windows for PC gamers and off course the PlayStation 4.

Metro Exodus is set in 2036, on a post-apocalyptic Earth that has been devastated by a nuclear war over 20 years ago in 2013. The game continues the story from Metro: Last Lights “Redemption” ending. The player assumes the role of 22-year-old Artyom who flees the Metro in Moscow and, sets off on a continent-spanning journey with Spartan Rangers to the far east. Artyom first travels around the Volga River, not far from the Ural Mountains to get a ride on a locomotive known as the “Aurora” that heads east for a new life.[5] The story takes place over the course of one year, starting in harsh nuclear winter in the metro. Another major character, returning from the previous game and the book Metro 2035, is Anna – who is now Artyom’s wife.
