Check out the full Netflix Death Note Movie Trailer

Netflix released the official full length trailer for the upcoming Death Note the American movie adaption based on the Japanese manga Death Note.

Light Yagami  who is potrayed by Nate Wolff is the protagonist, he is a high school student who owns the Death Note which was originally Ryuk’s (a death God) he takes it upon himself to learn about what it can do and discovers he can kill at will with the supernatural book called the Death Note.

In Death Note, a human who possesses the supernatural book has the power to kill anyone who’s name and face they know. After finding the Death Note, Light Yagami begins killing people he sees as evil under the name of Kira. This is seen as a twisted sense of Justice.

This film is directed by Adam Wingard (You’re Next) with a script by Charley & Vlas Parlapanides (Immortals) and Jeremy Slater (TV’s Exorcist) the trailer shows gives us a proper in-depth look at the deuteragonist L the main in the mask. L the character is being portrayed by Keith Stanfield in the movie L is a highly skilled detective who is assigned the case from the police department to uncover how these serial killings are occurring and the root cause of Kira. (Kira is Light Yagami’s pseudonym)

Throughout the trailer we also get to see the reveal of Ryuk who is potrayed by William Dafoe (Spider-Man/Green Goblin) this casting in my opinion was very fitting his voice and look suits the character very well. Ryuk is the Death God who dropped the Death note in the first for someone to discover it. He will be accompanying Light throughout the movie.
