Today, music is one of the most important forms of entertainment, Hip Hop has been a genre that I have followed for many years, since I was introduced to the genre through MTV Base a music channel on Sky Digital when I was a young boy. My two brothers are also big music fans in fact my twin brother is a musician and runs a music-entertainment company my younger brother is also an aspiring music producer.
I used to listen to rappers such as Young Jeezy, 50 Cent, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Lupe Fiasco, Snoop Dogg and The Game. But in 2017
Kendrick Lamar stands out and it’s great that he is finally getting the recognition he deserves since he released his latest album “DAMN.” he has over 610,000 copies, you can listen this album on Spotify. This new album features 14 iconic tracks with track names that are a statement for example: LOYALTY, HUMBLE, LOVE, GOD, BLOOD and DNA. his album sold 610,000 copies now that’s impressive. Hip Hop music is back for good.
When I used to play GTA 5 on PlayStaion 3, I was amazed that you could use three different characters, the dynamic open world and most of all stealing cars and shooting everything in sight lol I sound like a savage I mean virtually and when you get 5 stars on the top right of your screen you know you’re pretty much fu***d and the cops will come after either Franklin, Trevor or Michael.
I used to spend a lot of time watching video game content on YouTube. In 2013 when Grand Theft Auto V was announced by Rockstar Games , I was excited about playing video games and I wanted to play this game. Luckily my brother who is also a big fan of games bought Grand Theft Auto 5 with a PlayStation 3 we set up the console at home onour TV and began and we were blown away by the incredible amount of content within the game.
Driving cars is such an important part of GTA V, as you know you the player can listen to music while driving to your next heist or mission. I didn’t really pay much attention to the music but this song introduced me to Kendrick Lamar:
On Radio Los Santos (The song is Jay Rock ft Kendrick Lamar: The Hood gone love it) while in the game I was blown way and felt so much hype while playing, I was even rapping along to the lyrics and bumping my head and turning up, this song from Jay Rock featuring Kendrick Lamar he was re-sighting lyrics such as:
“I’m putting the ghetto on top of my back and I live in the back of the jungle: Lions, tigers, bears, oh my Hear the siren, walk up, (pow pow) drive-by shooters, looters, federal fed intruders. The engines on back of scooters The real can recognise real”.
Kendrick’s lyrics in the song above
