Today is the day we celebrate Martin Luther King.Today is  American federal holiday dedicated to Martin Luther King, who is someone who I would describe as a real hero; allow me to elaborate, he did not shy away from speaking out on the matters of Black injustice among Americans in the United States, he was a man of peace and sought out to fight for justice in a non-violent way, through spoken word.

MLK was a chief spokesman, for nonviolent activism in the Civil Rights Movement, which successfully protested racial discrimination in federal and state law, this campaign JUSTICE became a holiday in honour of his assassination in 1968.

President Ronald Reagan decided that it would be beneficial to sign the holiday into the law in 1983 this law was officially completed in all 50 of America’s stated in 2000.

Undoubtedly, Martin Luther King Jr celebrated his birthday on January 15th, which is observed  on the third Monday of January each year. On the other hand it was sad to know he is not with us anymore but his memory will live on with us forever his went viral globally all blacks connect with his teachings in particular his famous speech.

                                                                  “I have a dream”

“The famous I have a dream speech, was spoken word for the masses, it was the most iconic speech this world has ever seen.”

This speech was important because it was presented in front of the world by American civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr on the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on August the 28th in 1963, his aim and objective was to eradicate racism to the highest capacity using nothing but his heart, body, soul and mind, delivered to over 250,000 civil rights supporters from Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C the speech was definitely an amazing, epic monumental speech in American Civil Rights History Happy Birthday.

King.
